I
am the inventor of the Sundogger
who loves spending time with my family on vacation and traveling.
In my 'day job,' I am a mechanical engineer.
We own a beach house, and in the summer spend a lot of time at
the beach house or boating.
What inspired me to create the Sundogger
was my children. My kids do not like peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.
They do, however, love hot dogs (who doesn't). But purchasing hot
dogs from a vendor at the beach can become a costly proposition,
expecially with three boys.
Since its inception the Sundogger
has gone through several changes. Last summer I partnered with Widener
University to work on enhancing the invention's efficiency. We worked
with the temperature profiles and modified the design so the hot
dogs would cook evenly in less time.
I have been inventing and creating small items around the house
to solve simple problems for years. However, the Sundogger
is the first invention I have patented and introduced to the public.
