The Latchel is designed to simulate
the anatomy and temperature of a mother while nursing
of a new born or infant. |
The Latchel is a battery-powered device for nursing
an infant. It would deliver temperature controlled breast milk or
formula to a baby through a peristaltic pump and artificial sucking
device.
The invention is designed to simulate the anatomy
and temperature of a natural mother, providing a way for adoptive
mothers and fathers to bond with an infant through nursing.
This sling-shaped nursing device could be worn over
the shoulder, and would feature a box-shaped control system near
the waist. The system would enable users to modify the temperature
of the milk and adjust the pump’s speed. It would also feature
an on/off switch.
